ABOUT COACHING
Coaches play a vital role with The RAVE. In addition to providing training and development of the sports skills needed for each sport, they promote the spirit and good sportsmanship that defines a true athlete; they are role models and character builders. The coach provides The RAVE athletes with the immediate awareness of their own worth, ability, courage, and capacity to grow and improve.
Each sport is required to have level 1 and level 2 certified coaches. Please check with the head coach of the sport in which you are interested to see if you should become level 1 or level 2 certified. All coaches working with athletes need to be Level 1 certified, which is good for 3 years. Level 1 coaches may assist coaching any sport.
If you would like to become certified in a specific sport, Level 2 certification may be for you. To become Level 2 certified, you must do online training for the specific sport. We encourage all coaches to become Level 2 Certified for the sports in which they coach. Level 2 certification is also good for 3 years.
